On Site
The on site camping area was within the main Discworld Jamboree site and was open from 2.00 pm on Thursday 2nd August until 12 noon on Monday 6th August.
Cost: £7.50 per person per night. Children under 15 no charge.
Each pitch was large enough to accommodate a big tent/caravan and car but electric connections were not available.
The Sports Pavilion was available for the use of the campers with showers, toilets and a first aid room within easy reach. There were also additional Portaloos close to the camping area.
For those who did not wish to do their own cooking,e on-site caterers provided good and wholesome food from breakfast till late. Also, Fernstrom and Farrell (our local deli in town) supplied their celebrated pasties and cakes and ran a Hog Roast or two.
Uncle Steve from Wincanton Wholefoods had a tuck shop which also supplied some essentials like milk, newspapers etc.
